Kumaran Systems forges Global Partnership with VOIPFUTURE - the Experts in VoIP Service Assurance
Toronto, Canada, July 29, 2010
Kumaran Systems, a Toronto based Software Solutions and Services provider announced today the Global Partnership with VOIPFUTURE, the leading provider of carrier-grade RTP Monitoring solutions for voice service assurance.
VOIPFUTURE delivers leading edge technology to monitor and improve voice service quality in Next Generation Networks. The innovative solution does this by passively and permanently monitoring real time traffic in a VoIP network. Early this year VOIPFUTURE was awarded with the much sought "Emerging Company of the Year" award from Frost & Sullivan.
"We were searching a long time for such a powerful solution for voice monitoring, service assurance and troubleshooting in one." said Mohan Kumar Subramanyam, President and CEO at Kumaran Systems. "VOIPFUTURE, combined with Kumaran Systems' commitment to help Communication Service Providers in their network, service and customer transformation drive, will provide us with a robust solution that will allow us to create more value for our clients and will enable us to continue to evolve and innovate as an end-to-end service assurance enabler"
The Partnership will further extend Kumaran Systems' competency in the Service Assurance market segment, offering one of the most comprehensive suites for the communication network and service monitoring and management solutions in the industry. VOIPFUTURE's RTP monitoring solution will be marketed by Kumaran around the world. "We are pleased to join forces with such an outstanding global system integrator." stated Jan Bastian, CEO at VOIPFUTURE. He added "Communication service providers will now greatly benefit from Kumaran's profound expertise in NGN networks and their know-how in integrating our advanced RTP monitoring technology."
About the VOIPFUTURE Technology The VOIPFUTURE system is designed to monitor the quality of voice services in IP networks. It consists of passive RTP monitoring probes and a management platform. The probes are typically deployed at network borders and connected to up to four links in a non-intrusive manner. The probes analyze all RTP streams in real-time and provide over 400 dedicated voice metrics for each 5 second segment of each stream. The analysis is based on a unique combination of packet flow analysis and deep packet inspection which allows to determine root causes and diagnostics data. All data is stored in VOIPFUTURE quality data records (QDR) and retrieved by the management platform which post-processes the information and offers a graphical interface to the users.
The detailed QDR information provides the foundation for the integrated voice quality evaluation and troubleshooting technology. Applications of the VOIPFUTURE system include network performance and VoIP customer experience monitoring. The VOIPFUTURE solution enables communication service providers (CSPs) to detect and correlate impairments originating from network equipment or end user devices, providing a complete view of each call. This enables CSPs to offer premium voice services as well as to meet stringent voice SLAs and document their performance.
The carrier-grade solution offers leading real time analysis performance, with up to 42,000 simultaneously monitored calls per probe on up to four links. One Gigabit links can be monitored at full line rate; monitoring of 10 Gbit/s interfaces is also supported. The centralized management platform controls all probes and is capable of processing hundreds of millions of call minutes per day. Still, the VOIPFUTURE solution is cost-effective as it makes efficient use of standard servers with multi-CPU and multi-core architecture.

Kumaran Systems forges Global Partnership with Accanto - a leader in Customer Service Assurance solutions
December 21, 2009, Toronto, Canada.
Kumaran Systems announced today a Global Partnership with Accanto Systems (formerly Sunrise Telecom Protocol Products Group), a leader in Customer Service Assurance solutions for today's converged networks.
With the completion of this agreement, Kumaran now offers a full spectrum of Service Assurance solutions for video, voice, data and wireless applications. This new suite of products, including advanced multi-protocol analyzers and network monitoring systems which support mobile and VOIP applications, will be marketed by Kumaran around the world.
"Although we evaluated multiple tools, it was clear that the Accanto suite provided the broadest offering as well as a business focus that aligns with our vision to help Communication Service Providers in their Network, Service and Customer Transformation drive," said Mohan Kumar Subramanyam, President and CEO at Kumaran Systems.
A major catalyst for service assurance spending to support next-generation services is the need to measure customer quality of experience. The market forces that are causing a heightened awareness of the customer experience are in part being driven by the commoditization of telecoms services - primarily voice - and the threat posed by new participants in the telecoms economy that offer premium services over a broadband network. With falling ARPUs and an uncertain landscape, service providers are increasingly interested in transforming the way they interact, consume and enable Networks, Handhelds, Application, Services and Content.
"We are excited about our partnership with Kumaran Systems and are certain this will further enhance their value to their clients through comprehensive monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities," said Klaus P. Bauer, VP Sales, Accanto Systems.
Kumaran Systems is confident that its partnership with Accanto will help the service providers in their efforts to transform Customer Experience.
